Old Oak Barn offers unique self catering accommodation for 4 or 5 in a secluded woodland valley and is situated in West Carmarthenshire near the Pembrokeshire border only 5-10 minutes from the A40 & St Clears. The barn was renovated and restored in 2004/05 to provide a very high standard of accommodation - even luxury self catering accommodation. The main features are a very spacious south facing stone patio adjoining the building as well as the interior with plain white walls and wooden features many of which come from trees grown in Cwmpalis Woods. Underfloor heating provides an especially comfortable warmth all year round and enables the beautifully handcrafted alder floor to be seen at its very best. We offer very child friendly accommodation and for our visitors who may be allergic we have decided strictly no pets.  Open all year round for holidays or short breaks!

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and contains all you may need for your holiday or short break. The two bedrooms are simply furnished and are adjacent to the spacious main living room which measures 6 x 5 mt. Travel cot or camp bed can be used to sleep 5. We welcome those wanting a short break out of the main holiday season - minimum of 2 nights. We welcome children. This part of Carmarthen is popular for holidays in Wales and is easily accessible from the M4 being approximately 90 minutes from the Severn Bridge - on a good run! Informal gardens with small swings for children plus 2 more much bigger swings in the woods are very popular.

We have installed broadband wireless internet access at Old Oak Barn - so if you want to check emails and log on, then provided you bring your own laptop there should be no problem. We provide this service free of any extra charge and guests who use it find the connection speedy and reliable.
