The Barn After

The south east facing double bedroom shown in the picture opposite has high ceilings and measures approx 3x4mt. Visitors often comment on the excellent comfy mattress provided. Out of the picture is the wardrobe and two chairs. Two windows in each bedroom. Simple white emulsion walls throughout the barn enable it to be seen at its best. 

The main living room in the picture opposite measures 6x5 mt and is very spacious. Wide screen TV with free view and DVD is available.  Lights chosen have been kept very simple throughout the building and the main one in this room is on a dimmer switch. The bottom picture of the second bedroom shows the Hideaway bed - this is designed to be used as a 6 ft double bed also. If you need the travel cot we can hide one bed under another for more space but both bedrooms are reasonably spacious being over 12ft long. Very good selection of books, games, jigsaws and puzzles. We are happy to accept three smallish children and aim to be flexible in all our booking arrangements! Free WiFi installed can be picked up throughout the barn.

Work on the outside garden area was largely completed in 2004 and plants did well the first summer. Climbers including jasmines, honeysuckle and passion flowers have been planted as well as an assortment of herbs and perrenials.  We have built two swings for children on the little private lawn.  Please go to "A Taster" to view more pictures of the inside of Old Oak Barn and surrounding area.
