August 7 Covid19 rules

August 7, 2021

Today Saturday August 7 Covid19 rules change in Wales. They still differ from the rules in the rest of the UK. As Wales moves into Alert Level Zero the following applies.

  • legal restrictions have been removed on the number of people who can meet indoors, including in private homes, public places or at events
  • all businesses and premises can open, including nightclubs
  • people should still work from home wherever possible
  • face coverings will remain a legal requirement indoors, with the exception of hospitality premises. This will be kept under review.
  • fully vaccinated adults, under 18s and vaccine trial participants will not need to self-isolate if they are a close contact of someone with coronavirus.

I will still remain very vigilant in the way I clean and sanitise the barn at changeover. Visitors can feel reassured that we continue to maintain a cautious approach while things open up even more.

Takeaway food can still be ordered from nearly all the cafes and restaurants in St Clears. It is turning into a very very busy summer in this part of Wales and we recommend booking in advance if you want to eat out.

A great option is of course to buy locally from our wonderful butcher Deri Page and BBQ here at Old Oak Barn in style!
