Ginst

Ginst Point is only accessible during most weekends as it is located near the firing range managed by the Ministry of Defense at Pendine. It is a little known beach near Laugharne and it is a popular place for cockling. Tides can be strong there so it’s no good for swimming but dogs love a run on the huge beach at low tide. There are no lifeguards and no public toilets. Parking is free. I’ve never ever been there when it’s been busy.

So if you have booked to stay here at Old Oak Barn this summer and arrive on a Friday you could head off down to Ginst over the weekend. Remember to take a bucket to collect a few shells which litter the beach. On the way back stop off in Laugharne for fish and chips! Mmmmmmmm.
