This year sees the TV series on S4C and on iplayer with the BBC about Llansteffan Castle. Teulu’r Castell was filmed over the last 2 years or so and it tells the story of the purchase and subsequent developments of the castle and nearby buildings by a local family. In the series on TV, cameras follow Marian, Rob and sometimes their two daughters Ffion and Catrin as they attempt to fulfil their dreams! This includes work on a wonderful walled garden and their many imaginative plans which focus on holding wedding ceremonies in the castle itself! What a venue Llansteffan Castle provides. Plenty of challenges are faced with good humour and patience.
You can watch the series (if you're quick) on clic S4C or on iplayer and visit the castle website too. Read more about Marian Evans who is full of energy and positivity! Plenty of clips on YouTube too!
Llansteffan has always been a fabulous location for anyone wanting a view which is constantly changing. The big beach is great for a wander and dogs are allowed too. The small children's playground is a firm favourite with small children. If the fish and chip van is around be sure to have a snack or you can drop into the tea room for a toasted sandwich. There are also a couple of pubs in the small village - Inn at The Sticks and The Castle.
