From tomorrow, Saturday 27 March we can now accept bookings from visitors who reside in Wales. Late last night the First Minister has confirmed that because rates of infection continue to decline in Wales and indicators remain stable we can reopen on Saturday. The family who had provisionally booked are as we speak no doubt packing. Living in Wales it wont be a long journey for them. The Wales Stay Local rule will end on Saturday - read more here!
This is of course a very significant step along the way but other visitor attractions have to wait a little longer to hear when they too can reopen. There will be another review of restrictions next week. If restrictions are lifted further in England to allow self catering accommodation like Old Oak Barn to reopen on 12 April, then we too will be able to welcome visitors from England. Nothing is 100% definite for now.
For now pubs and restaurants remain closed but there are plenty of Take Away options locally.
A wide range of children's outdoor activities will be reopening and also the Rule of 4 outside moves to a Rule of 6 in private gardens within Wales.
Stickman has been here all winter and has now been told he can go on holiday ...... but only within Wales until 12 April when Old Oak Barn will we hope be allowed to welcome visitors from England once again!
Please get in touch if you would like an Easter break between Saturday 3rd and Monday 12th April. But you have to be from within Wales if you would like to come and stay then! Availability here!
